Blow Out VS. Budget Christmas Party Outfit!

Ho! Ho! Hello Again,

So it's that time of year where you're bound to have heaps of Christmas parties! But the question is, 'What to wear?' Now what kind of person are you, Blow Out? or Budget? I am definitely the person with Champagne taste on a beer budget! Now I normally stick to the same colours which are Black, Grey or Burgundy so these outfits are very dark which isn't for everybody but I hope that you do see something that catches your eye!

So let's do Blow Out First!

The dress is from ASOS Curve and I love this because it has sleeves so it would cover the bits I don't really like to show - also the silvery material is what dreams are made of!! You can get it here!
Next up are these BEAUTIFUL ankle boots from Kurt Geiger! (drools) These are so my style and I love the plait across the front, it's a really nice detail! You can get these bad boys here!
Let's all take a minute for this piece of art - The Vivienne Westwood Faux Croc Clutch!! There are no words - this would make any outfit! I'm sure I've seen this in my dreams but you can find it here.

Now for Budget!

Now this dress isn't identical but it is quite similar! Again I like it because of the sleeves but I also really like the kind of material - you know the kind of material that doesn't blow up in the wind! This is from Boohoo's Plus Size range and you can find it here.
Next up are these black ankle boots which I think actually (apart form the plait at the front) look so alike the Kurt Geiger ones - but for a third of the price!!! You can get them here.
Last up is this lovely little black clutch! I think a black clutch is great for a night out especially at this size because you'd be surprised how much you can fit in it (and how much of your friend's crap you can fit in it). You can get it here.

I really hope you like this post as much as I do (blowing my own trumpet) and I wish I could get everything but it would more than likely be the budget outfit - which is completely fine with me! (but if anyone wants to get me that Vivienne Westwood bag then I wouldn't say no!!).

A Big Thank You and My Festive Prairie Charm Giveaway!

Hello Again!!

Today's post is an exciting one for me to do because it includes my Prairie Charms Giveaway!! I started writing my blog because something that I had enjoyed doing was reading other peoples blogs so I thought to myself, why not do my own! To be quite honest, I'm impressed with myself that I haven't packed it in (I did at one point but that didn't last for very long). I only started BlogsVlogsEtc back in August and it's taken off for me (not trying to sound full of myself, that's not what I'm meaning here) What I mean when I say that is that the biggest thing for me is the people I've 'met' along the way! I put met in quote marks as I haven't met any of you in person but it's really the twitter community of bloggers - you're all really really nice.

So I knew I wanted to do something as like a "Thank You" for being so nice, so as I was nearing 1000 twitter followers, Prairie Charms and I decided that we would put together a little bundle of beautiful festive goodies for one of you to win! All things Christmas!!

Ho! Ho! Hello Again!

Today's post is going to be a Bonus Post! As it's the best month of the year - Obviously, because we get to eat chocolate first thing every morning (I'm not saying this doesn't happen throughout the year but you know - it happens) so I thought I will update you guys with all the festivities happening this month! You can now keep up to date on a daily basis over on my Instagram - I've finally set up an account for BlogsVlogsEtc.

In Aberdeen this year for the first time they closed off one of the streets in town and made a Christmas Village!! Sam and I took a walk along and took a couple of photos. They've also built a little ice rink (how cute) but Sam wouldn't let me go on it - probably for the best as I would have ended up breaking a few bones!

Another thing I like to do when the days are getting colder is sitting in wrapped in cosy blankets, watching Christmas movies with cups of tea and Lebkuchen stars!

So that's just a couple of Christmassy thing's I've been getting up to. I would have posted a photo of our Christmas tree but I can't manage to get one without our new TV in it - I will though!!
