Product of the week | Collaboration with Hannahhearts

Hello Again!!

It's that time of the month where Hannah from Hannahhearts and myself talk about our product of the week!! Be sure to check out Hannah's post, I really want to try out the foundation that she has been loving!!

My product of the week has been one of MAC's matte lipsticks in the shade Whirl! I actually bought this in a mini MAC haul at the start of the year and when I saw this shade I was a little terrified because I'm not a lipstick wearer and this is quite dark but honestly I have grown to love it! If you're looking for that 90's grunge, browny nude shade then look no further! As its a matte lipstick it lasts quite long on the lips which maybe makes you think it would be drying but it's actually really creamy and hydrating - I just love it!!

Here's a little photo of me wearing Whirl.

So if you're looking to try a new lipstick why don't you give Whirl, a whirl!!
(yeah I know, sorry, couldn't resist).

Thanks for reading my post about my product of the week, go check out Hannah's.

What's been your most loved product recently?

Let's have a chat about Feminism!!

Hello Again Everyone,

I have been wanting to voice my opinion on something but I've been holding back because I'm scared in case there is backlash because of it. But after a night of listening to Hilary Duff and chatting to Charlotte (who is very lovely by the way, check out her blog!!) I decided just to do it because like Charlotte said her blog is her space and mine is mine!

So Feminism! That's what I want to talk about!

I have seen this as a very 'touchy' subject to speak about and I have found myself typing up tweets but then deleting them because I've seen how protective people are about this subject. It is spoken about on the Internet and on Twitter every single day and I just want to say right now that everyone is entitled and have the right to their own opinions - the world would be a very boring place if everyone thought the same thing!! Sometimes though, other people don't want to even listen to an opinion which is different from their own and that is really sad! I think it is seen as being really 'trendy' these days to call yourself a feminist and I think a main factor is the celebrities that are feminists - of course if Beyoncé says she's a feminist then hundreds of people will say they are too - that's just the generation we live in - It's the latest bandwagon! But what I have been seeing more and more recently  which is really getting my goat is the 'feminists' that are bringing down men. Now I am a woman, but I'm not a feminist. Yes I think genders should be treated equally, of course I do and yes, I know women aren't treated fairly and that is not right! But, why put men down and belittle them to make women be greater?!

A lot of feminists say that men are sexist and I know there is a hell of a lot of sexist men out there (Christ I work in a warehouse where there's about 60 men and about 6 women) but there is also a lot of sexist women out there! Basically the point in this very rambling post (apologies) is let's be equal, let's cheer each other on! All men and women should encourage each other, and if you want to be a feminist then good on you, honestly, just don't hate on men while doing so.

Again, in the words of Beyoncé, 'who run the world?' Girls can! Boys can! We can actually do it together.

Now I would love to hear your opinion on this, I can listen to all opinions, feminists are welcome! Please don't take this as a hate post against all Feminists because it's not, I think it's great that you've got some fight in you!

Water is Important, Drink more! | Review of the Original Aquatiser

Hello Again,

I've recently been trying to have a healthier diet (even though it's been easter and there's been chocolate eggs everywhere) and a major part of trying to change is cutting out a lot of fizzy drinks! Now I know how important water is in diet but to me I've always found it a chore drinking it because it doesn't taste all that exciting which I think a lot of people have the same opinion - so I introduce to you, the Aquatiser Original!

Now let me give you a bit of the background of the Aquatiser! It all started when Charlotte was studying health and nutrition and she realises that big changes needed to happen to make the nation be more aware of what being 'healthy' consisted of. Their purpose is to support our healthy lifestyle. So using the Aquatiser helps you drink more water and help with your 5 a day! It makes it enjoyable!

This is the Original Aquatiser (more colours than pink are available) and it's only £15.99 which is so affordable for what there is and you can also purchase ice balls and cooler bags. I'm going to talk you through the different parts that puts it all together.

First of all the original is made from plastic (the pink parts) and glass which means you have have both hot and cold drinks in it. I have only had cold drinks but this would be great for any flavoured tea! Here I have my Aquatiser alL ready to go, today I'm going to have strawberries and grapes but you can literally have anything, mango, sprig of mint - anything!

The Aquatiser is mainly three parts - The Top Container - The Juicers - The Bottom Container.

In the top container you can add in larger pieces of fruit and even ice, you can buy this little silicone ice ball from the website for only £2.99 and you can just add in water through the top hole or you can even add fruit and then add water.

The Juicers (the pink parts) these actually come apart, there's a large juicer and a small juicer. The large juicer adds instant flavour and acts like a filter to keep the fruit in the bottom container. The small juicer compresses the produce (because you don't just have to use fruit, you can use vegetables too) and extracts the flavour.

The bottom container is where you can put larger pieces of produce and then the small juicer helps infuse this with the water.

Then ta-daa, you have nice flavoured water to take with you which will help you stay hydrated though the day and helps you have some of your 5 a day. If you don't fancy eating the produce after you've finished the water you could add either the fruit to a smoothie or the veg to soup!

Overall I have loved using my Aquatiser, I've taken it to work every day and it's taken my mind off of the fizzy drink vending machine. It's light weight, easy to use and easy to clean.

If you're wanting to try and make changes then I really do recommend the Aquatiser it does help you drink more H20, there's even an Aquatiser Sport for the more active! There's also some different recipes if you're struggling to decide on what to have!

Thank you to Charlotte for sending me this product to review!

*All opinions are my own - If I didn't like something, I wouldn't say I did.

March Favourites

Hello Again,

It honestly feels like just last week that I was doing my February Favourites but it's not, so here are my March Favourites.

I'm going to start with Beauty as let's be real, it's my favourite thing to talk about. Something I have been using all month and I think it was actually in my February favourites but oh well, it's the Liz Earle cleanse and polish. I'm not going to bang on and on about this as I have spoken about it my it's cleared my skin up so nicely so yes, it's a thumbs up from me! (if you do want to read about me banging on about this check out my review here).

This month I have two favourites that were actually in March's Glossy Box and they are the Hey Honey Good Morning Face Serum and the 504 Large Angled brush fro Luxie! I have been using the hey honey serum under my makeup almost everyday and I love that it leaves my skin feeling super soft. The Luxie brush has been ideal for blending in my cream highlighter, it's so soft and hasn't shed at all. My last beauty item that has been a favourite this past month is this beautiful light pink blush from Loreal. It's in the shade Radiant Rose and it's super pigmented (honestly, I went to town with this one day and looked like coco the clown's missing sister) so I do recommend just a little on your brush to give you a nice natural flush to the face.  It's also got little specs of glitter in it so it's perfect if you want to look radiant.

Another favourite this month has been my flower necklace from Cath Kidston. Sam bought me this for my Christmas two years ago and I hardly ever wore it, but I found it in a drawer in my house a few weeks ago and I just started wearing it again. It is however missing a flower because one of the clasps broke but I manage to take that away and put the necklace back together. I have also been loving the fact that the sun has been making an appearance recently (ok for about five minute periods at a time but it's still better than it has been) so I love that the shops are all filled with colourful tulips.

And then we have mini eggs. They kind of speak for themselves (mmm mini eggs).

Another favourite has been this little fluff ball called Atlas. He's now 9 weeks old and he's super duper cute!

My last favourite of the month has to be my experience at Go Ape, Crathes Castle. We were harnessed in and were climbing and swinging through the trees. It was such a good experience but I realised I had a fear of heights, but I would actually do it again! If you want to hear more about it check out my post dedicated to it: HERE.

So they are all my favourites for the month of March. I have been super busy blog wise this month, blogger meet ups and events so I'm excited to see what April has in store! What's been your favourite things in March?
